After reprogramming the MaxFlash 1mbit card a few times, I went to program it with a new programming ATR made with MaxFlash Studio and after answering Y to reprogram the cartridge, it does an erase, which it reports as successful.
Then it reads Bank zero and gives me a failed verification error and drops out.
So, do I have a bad eeprom in the cartridge or do I instead have corrupted firmware on the firmware chip on the cartridge?
I do not have a programmer to use with the cartridge and have been using ATR programming images to reprogram the cartridge.

So my question is threefold.
(1) Do I have a bad eeprom chip in the cartridge?
(2) Is it possible the firmware on the cartridge is corrupted?
(3) Is the firmware restore-able or upgradable by using an ATR programming (flash) image and if so, where would one get that ATR?

I am missing being able to use my MaxFlash 1mbit cartridge that had Miss Pacman, Miner 2049er, BCs Quest for tires, Atari Basic rev.c, and Pole Position on it.
I still have that ATR programming file as well as the file that was used to build it with MaxFlash Studio.

I loaded and ran the maxflash cartridge diagnostics and all tests but the ones involving bank switching passed.
All bank switching tests as well as extended read, that does bank switching failed.

I should mention that I was unable to create a diagnostic cartridge as I got the same error on the bank write verification.

Hi,

This cartridge may need to be repaired or replaced. I offer a lifetime warranty on these, so there is no charge. Please e-mail me at classics@atarimax.com and I will arrange an exchange for a new cart.

Thanks,

Steve
