First of all, many thanks to Steve for shipping my Ultimate SD card so quickly! I was pleasantly surprised to receive it just a couple of weeks after ordering it!

After I got it, I loaded all of the ROMS that I had been downloading/collecting while I was waiting on my cart.

I tested out a few games, and it worked perfectly!

Then I went into the options, and I turned off "sorting"...and that's when my trouble began.

The message in the blue bar on the bottom of the screen said, "Reading Data from Card", and it stayed that way for several minutes. The screen had essentially froze at that point with the "Reading Data from Card" message. All functions on the joystick ceased to work (including the asterisk to exit the options menu).

So I turned off the console, and turned it back on. Then the screen went completely black, except for a red stripe at the top of the screen and the blue "Reading Data from Card" message at the bottom. I left it for several minutes, and nothing.

So I turned off the console, re-formatted the SD card on my laptop (using FAT32), re-loaded the original files back onto the card (I had made a complete backup of the card as it was originally delivered), and nothing changed again. Still the black screen, except for a red stripe at the top of the screen and the blue "Reading Data from Card" message at the bottom.

I've also pressed the "reset" button several times, but that hasn't helped, either.

I don't know why changing the sorting option may have "bricked" the card, but it seems to have.

Can anyone please help me get things working again???

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Best is to contact Steven about this directly.
I have no idea what went wrong here....
He has a lifetime guarantee on his products.
Be patient for his reply, he is a busy guy.
