Is there a simple way to convert a bin or XEGS cart image to R16 format so it will work with MYIDE ][? there is a new game wee ninja that I cannot seem to get to work on the atarimax cart i have - any help would be wonderful.

Ok, no idea any more.
I looked through my files and it is all done manually back then.
Changing all STA $D500 to STA $D50A (or STX or STY or relative store at this address).

The bankswitching-address is $D50A on MyIDE-][
Where on XEGS-cartridges it's $D500

The R16 extension is for the fat-loader software to use 2 banks of 8k, instead of the default single 8k or 16k roms.

That was 13-14 years ago.
My brain starts hurting looking at this, so I leave it.
Aks the programmer to compile a version using the other bank-code.
