Greetings.. I am the ultimate end-user, so please bear with me on this ..

Does anyone have a really thorough, clear, step by step, do's and don'ts, ins and outs of the image space function. Exactly how to load images into it, where these images load from, etc?

Also, Say I am using Atari LOGO or Atariwriter, and I want to save my work and retrieve it later, can i use image space for that as well? Or do I have to get the SIO2PC cable and save/retrieve that way?

I am wanting to make full use of my system, and so far I have the MyIDE II, but not sure how to fully get use from it.

Thank you in advance!

Ok, not easy to answer in one post, the manual is this aspect is short.
Something to add in future.

Images are disks like you have in your diskette-tray in sequence.
Stored on the CF different from logical partitions.
With the PC-tool you can copy diskettes from/to your PC.

Thing to remember is that images are always loaded with write-protection on.
This is to support disk-games that format itself when in read/write mode.....
Disks in sequence can be swapped with SHIFT+CONTROL+#
Again after a swap it is protected.
SHIFT+CONTROL+P or U will Protect/Unprotect the image.

Using a cartridge language is no problem, just use the correct boot-up sequence.
-load F2-bios.
-load language (either from flashmenu or fat32).
-hold START on selection of the previous step, this will enter IMAGE-MENU.
-select IMAGE and press enter/fire.
When you forgot START, wait, hold SELECT press SHIFT+CONTROL+ESC (=reset).
Hold START and select C.
