Hey all I FINALLY got the MyIDE II working to load disk images with some help from our host! Some questions for everyone who has used this extensively:

Some disks ask to "flip the disk" and some ask to change the disk in cases where there is a Disk A and Disk B.. How is this accomplished with the MyIDE Fat32 Loader for the ATR images on my CF card?

Or... Is there a different procedure I should be using?

Hi,

For flipping disks support, you should use the MyIDE-IMAGE space.
With SHIFT+CONTROL+number you can select disks that are in sequence.

Later,

It is rather well described there.

But in a nutshell:

you start the Atari with the MyIDE ][ interface, and you load the MyBIOS first) you saw the MyIDE welcome screen

Then you push start+select+option and then you enter the MyIDE Menu where you can do an Init.

but... beware. If I understand it correct you just took a CF card, formatted this on your PC and dropped some stuff on it. When you are going to init THAT cf card, all that stuff will be gone.

MyIDE (MyBIOS) has a special way of handling .ATR files. The images!

That is the most compatible way of ATR handling. Using the FAT32 loader is not the first choice when you want to use .ATR files.

The Atarimax MyIDE II is a wonder of gap bridging tech! I was wondering, is there something like this available for the Commodore 64?

I have hundreds of disks and images I'd like to use with my C64 computer.

One thing that comes close is "1541 ultimate", but (not sure) it only support disk no rom-emulation.

the Myide 2 is more like a supercharged Ide64 !

can't be compared to the Ultimate 1541 II though,
as it costs less than half of it's commodore counterpart, with way less powerful hardware

the ultimate 1541 II

can emulate :
casette, bins, carts, play sid files, videos, mimic utils and fastloaders
a 2nd audio chip for stereo sound
and even ram expansion with a wooping 16 mb !

it also can be used stand alone, and other cores for other machines be programed
amazing
