Hi guys, trying to figure this out but too much technical talk for me and my intended use :(

Got a lot of systems with flashcarts, and one for Atari computers is on my pending list. I currently have an 800XL, a 130XE, and a 130 XE/GS.

What I really use the carts for is just gaming, and maybe the occasional utility prog, but not programming, developing or anything like that.

I'm not too familiar with Atari computers, but I know that save some exceptions, games and programs for the Ataris came in tape, disk and cartridge.

So for my intended use, will this cart allow me to play/run any images corresponding to those formats? Or is it meant for something else? Again, I just wanna toss a bunch of roms, tape/disk images, etc onto a card and be able to play them.

Will this be the cart I want?

Yeah, go for it.

This cart will play almost any .ROM and .XEX file
Disk-images are also supported.
I never have used tape-files though ;)
Using the FAT32-loader will be sufficient for all your needs.

Advanced users can load MyBIOS and do deeper stuff then gaming

I can confirm that MyIDE ][ is a good choice for both novice and expert level users.

It's a very compatible interface, and from all the available devices it's by far the most user friendly.
