When it's not a DOS disk, checking it with DOS yield no useful information about content.
Can you give me a link or upload your 65k atr-file?
So I can have a quick look?

I retried it all on my 1200XL and 1050, both stock, works like a charm.
After copying, I power down, remove the cartridge and the disk boots.
I have attached the atr I tried.

Or either the atr on your CF-card is empty/not physical present.

Did the sector counter, during the copy process, counted up from 0000 to 02D0?

OK, I went through all the steps again, this time using mule.atr and it worked. Case closed. Thanks for your help.
