I must be missing something. How can I load basic and MyDos from MyIDE 2?
I have the latest firmware which has a basic rom on it but when I load it there is no DOS loaded.

Your question is perhaps to vague.
-sorry-

Latest firmware, please specify more.

My reply is based on 4.9 (Beta 16), but then latest -RAM version (found on my homepage) will perform the same.
Only the items can be in different slots.

To load BASIC (since your 1200xl has none?), select item 7 [atari basic] or 8 [altirra basic]

To load MyDOS, select item 13 [rescue loader]

That is the simple answer, but I guess that isn't the correct one...

To be able to work with your CF and MyDOS, you need to setup your CF-card with it first.
-follow the quick-guide to setup your CF card with atari partitions and making it bootable.
-download the manual from the corresponding firmware.

To load both and use the CF:
-First load MyBIOS
-return to the cartridge using SHIFT in the welcome screen
-select item 7 or 8
-done

This is what you are looking for?

Grtz,
Sijmen.
