1) I loaded several ATR game files to a MaxFlash 8 Mb cartridge. When I loaded the cartridge on my Atari 800 (not XL) and attempted to run them, I got an error message indicating that the selections require 64k memory. These same game files work on the same machine when I put the ATR files on a PC and load them on the Atari 800 via the SIO2PC device. So it looks as if the issue is with the Studio software and how it writes the files to the cartridge.

2) A few of the games need BASIC to run. For those specific games, I selected to enable BASIC. Now, do I also need to put the BASIC bin file on the same cartridge (once I get #1 solved), and if so does the file name for it need to be anything particular?

I believe ATR loading from flashcart requires a patched OS and therefore a 64K machine at minimum. For 400/800 ROM images and .XEXes are the only options

This requirement was explained in better detail when we had the old Perl scripts, the software that was used before Maxflash Studio software.

I think the above limitation was listed under the old software documentation's description of the "-diskpacker" option.
