I've converted Conan The Barbarian, a 2 disk game to run on any 8mbit flash cartridge.

Special features:

Faster loading than disk.
No disk flipping at any point.

Requirements to use it:

Any 64k XL/XE series computer (800XL, 130XE, etc)
One 8mbit flash cartridge.

Steve

Awesome! I've always liked this game (bought the disk many years ago). The improvements are great (fast loading, no disk flipping). The game really slows down on some levels (depending on the action), but it's still very playable. Great music. Nice to have this on a cart.

This image isn't working for me for some reason. I get to the little loading menu screen that says 'WARNING this will erase your flash cartridge and install conan, are you sure [y/n]" but for some odd reason my keyboard won't actually work. I can't type in 'Y' to get it to do anything.....Am I not supposed to just put the image file on the flashcart and go through the menu, or is there something else I need to have on the flashcart??

I let the 130XE I am using run to BASIC and the Y and N keys on my keyboard work through there, so it's not a keyboard issue...

Try updating the image to the newest version of the flash programming software.

Install the maxflash studio software, then use the 'Upgrade Existing Flash Programming Image' option to create a new ATR from the one in the archive.

I know this is an old thread, but I needed to say THANK YOU for this release!!! I'm a massive fan of this game and was a little upset when I couldn't get it to run on my cart, which I recently purchased. This just made my night!

is it possible to add Steve´s Conan one disk version (without flip disk) to an own workbook with own fav. games or does Conan require the whole 8Mbit cartidge?

Thanks, DQ
