I just ordered SIO2USB and I have some newbie questions.

I want to convert some of my old Atari floppies to ATR. I only have 1 SIO cable. How do I do that in APE? So do I just hook the disk drive directly the SIO2USB? No Atari computer in the mix?

ProSystem does not work with USB? Is that correct?

FYI you ordered an SIO2PC (that's how it's called in the atari community) with a USB connection to PC. if you have only 1 SIO cable, simply connect your cable to the disk drive and the interface, and connect the USB end of the interface to the PC, do not connect your Atari computer to the chain as the interface is USB powered. You can then use Prosystem software to copy your atari disks to the PC, so the answer to your question is: Prosystem works with a USB based SIO2PC device.

Hope this helps.

Edit: Ooops, I just noticed the question was asked back in September, sorry.

If it isn't suppose to I sure got lucky, I made disks from atrs and converted real disks to atrs using prosystem and sio2usb

It worked for me. I bought both the SIO2pcUSB and APE from here. I added the vapii dll from atarimania link. It's all good!
