Hello all. I hate to even ask this but I have not touched an Atari computer in 25 years and my DOS and basic commands are a little rusty. I trying to relearn basic programming and design games as a hobby. I am reading through a few books, guides, etc. the only thing is that none of them really tell you how to save the work that you have taken so long to type in. I do have a sio2usb up and running and have gotten mydos to load with no problems. I would just like to know how to save a program that I have typed in basic to my PC's hard drive if any can help me please!

Hi,

To save directly to the PC-drive (set as mirror in APE), you need
a registered version. The freeware version has locked this option.
Then you need to save in a disk-image (be sure it's unlocked in APE),

type:
SAVE"D:name.ext
name=the name of your choice.
ext=file-extension, like .BAS for basic programs.
To load:
LOAD"D:name.ext

Working with MAC65 or ASSEMBLER, you need to replace the " by #

Cheers,
Sijmen.
