Will APE work with rs232 sio2pc cable on 64-bit windows xp (Professional x64 Edition)?
All I get is:
"[Device Manager] RS232 Driver Failed to Initialize! (USB ONLY Mode Enabled)",
with APE trial version 3.0.2.

I guess the driver is 32bit and can't load under this system.
Is there a way to run APE on this OS now, or is it going to be supported in the future?

I've beeen trying on Windows Vista and Windows 7 and get the exact same message.

I have to agree it is probably is the difference between a 64bits OS and a 32bits driver.

I should have noted that this is a drive for the USB adapter only, not RS232. I will develop an x64 RS232 driver once this one is tested and released.

I am in the process of trying to obtain the signing certificate required to load drivers on 64-bit versions of Vista, but it is not turning out to be as easy of a process as I expected.

Once this is squared away and the signed USB driver is fielded, I will start on the RS232 driver.

The signed 64-bit USB drivers are done, but I'm still working on the RS232 driver as time allows.

A 64-bit RS232 driver is available for testing for registered users.

If you would like to beta test the driver please e-mail me at classics@atarimax.com.

Thanks
