Ok, I've just did an update to bulild 13-aug-08, I'm using a new Flash Module now. I can't get the MyIDE boot up drive 1 partition and My Pioco DOS can't load up any of the partitions I've made :? where can I download the old bulild 03-FEB-06 so I can go back to the default Program to see if that can fix the problem.

Build is for the cartridge-loader, please specify the MyIDE message you get on the screen.

Still don't know what the problem is.
At boot you should always get the MyIDE x.x x welcome message.
I would like to know what the version is, 3.5 / 4.3 / 4.4 / I / E / F ?

Anyhow, here is the 3.5F download for maxflash_1mb_MyIDE_cartridge.

Later,
Sijmen.

The welcome message screen boots up I have 4.3 (E)xternal cart. I hope this helps out.

You have 4.3E as internal BIOS and run a maxflash cartridge.
Oh, ok, I forget. :-)

The 4.3E has higher priority over the 3.5F in the external cartridge.
But that is no issue, since 4.3E and 3.5F are compatible except for 1 thing.
3.5F supports 8 partitions defined by FDISK, were as 4.3E only supports the first 3 (!) entries in FDISK.

So it should work.

When you enter FDISK, do you get a HD-error?
(Hold BASIC and bootup, type BYE enter)

Later,
Sijmen.

Yes, I get that HD-error. I still can't get DOS to load up any of the partitions.
I did setup the MyIDE+Flash IDE Cartridge on my XEGS that don't have internal BIOS mod it ran just fine but I've tried out the MyIDE+Flash IDE Cartridge on the 600XL it wouldn't boot up. :(

I don't understand :?:

If it runs on a XEGS without errors, it should run fine on your 600xl too.
(Modified or not, that does not matter!)

You had the 4.3E running with a other interface?
If yes, this makes it even stranger.

I know with the old bulild 03-FEB-06 the MyIDE+Flash IDE Cartridge ran just fine  I'll try it out on my XEGS to see if I'll get the HD-error. Oh bye doesn't work with stock OS

On the stock OS you get the cartridge menu and load fdisk from flash ;-)
