OK, granddaddy Finally bought a MyIDE+Flash cart. I've used A8 machines since the early 80s, so not a complete newbie. Following the manual I succesfully set-up the cart running a Transcend 128 module. Now copying stuff from laptop to cart using sio2 pc but man is it slow ! I own a nice ide2 USB kit so I would like to connect my Transcend module to it, but both the kit interface and the transcend module have female connections. Are there adapters for this ? |

Can't not say definitely that they do not exist but I have never been able to find that particular gender changer. |

I'm hesitant to recommend one because its possible to reverse the IDE pinout if the connectors are not oriented correctly on the cable. Here is one, but with the caveat that I have not tried it and if its wired wrong it will will probably damage the IDE module. http://cgi.ebay.com/2-Inch-40-Pin-IDE-P ... 2311e4c91b Steve |

Of course ! Great idea, I can make one of those easily myself. I was thinking in a different direction (PCB, headers etc.) but this is it ![]() Reversing....I'll just have to put some clear marks on it ![]() |
