OK, granddaddy Finally bought a MyIDE+Flash cart. I've used A8 machines since the early 80s, so not a complete newbie. Following the manual I succesfully set-up the cart running a Transcend 128 module.
Now copying stuff from laptop to cart using sio2 pc but man is it slow !

I own a nice ide2 USB kit so I would like to connect my Transcend module to it, but both the kit interface and the transcend module have female connections. Are there adapters for this ?

Can't not say definitely that they do not exist but I have never been able to find that particular gender changer.

I'm hesitant to recommend one because its possible to reverse the IDE pinout if the connectors are not oriented correctly on the cable. Here is one, but with the caveat that I have not tried it and if its wired wrong it will will probably damage the IDE module.

Of course ! Great idea, I can make one of those easily myself. I was thinking in a different direction (PCB, headers etc.) but this is it :)

Reversing....I'll just have to put some clear marks on it ;)
