As I don't have a Windows nor a Linux PC (anymore), but only Atari and Apple computers :wink: I'd like to ask if someone has tried to port the MyIDE command line tool to OSX?

Or is it possible to use it in a Linux VM on OSX?

Hermann?

Ask the creator self?
http://www.horus.com/~hias/atari/

But don't use the version on this site.
Use the myidetool.exe found in the /tool/ dir in the manager.zip

I asked him already about the version available on that site, after I tried it. It didn't even compile on Linux anymore. But after some reading I found a newer version 0.45.

By adding a little bit of code to the RawDiskUnix.cpp file, I got it compiled:
#ifdef __APPLE__
#  define off64_t off_t
#  define fopen64 fopen
#  define fseeko64 fseeko
#  define ftello64 ftello
#endif

But this is a Windows executable, isn't it?

Well, after I got it built successfully (only one warning I'm going to ignore for now), I was able to read the partition table created with your fdisk2:

thrinax:src hermann$ ./myidetool /dev/disk2 -l

I think this was a big step for me, after having the MyIDE cartridge only for a few days.
Let's hope the weather stays rainy, so I can stay inside to continue tinkering :wink:

Nice :-)

Time to update to MyBIOS 4.7.05 then

Well done!

P.S.
On the new setup, you need to load LBA-2 for the fdisk-info.
On non 8-bit selectable devices there still is a copy on LBA-0 for compatibility reasons, but
when you are having a dual partition (fat32 and MyIDE) you need LBA-2
:roll:
