So I went to program the flash part of the MyIDE+Flash for the first time tonight, with the MaxFlash USB Programmer, but didn't backup the three things that were on it to start with. One was MyPicoDOS, which I redownloaded, one was Freecell XE, which I redownloaded, but I don't remember the third?! Help?

Well, it may not help after all. Every time I try to program the cartridge with new software as soon as it gets to 6% I get "Error performing read operation. Embedded program timeout. Task aborted!"
Huh?

Double ARGH! Okay, it's obvious I don't know what the **** I'm doing. I've managed to wipe out all of the original software on the cartridge, both the menu for the MyIDE and the menu for the flash cart. Is there a way to re-flash it back to the way it was originally?

Use the 3.5F sticky post for the original content.
Boot this software on your A8 without the maxflash.
Then try to do the recovery (hot plug the cartridge).
-You need to retry sometimes when the insertion locks the system-

Later,
Sijmen.
