Hello!
I have got this USB2PC interface some time ago and now I am trying to use it to transfer my disc to pc.
But I do not have 1050 but two CA2001 (modified Indus GT clone).
Both of them are capable working in standard mode or can be programmable to Sychromesh Hi Speed 68.2 kbps (POKEY divisor - $06) by Sparta DOS X 4.44, but it is not used by ProSystem.
Both drives are modified too - switched to work in standard or modified mode.
One ('new') with Tygrys (Tiger) Turbo capable working in UltraSpeed and Turbo 1050 modes and Synchromesh too. This works with ProSys in US. But is somehow broken and won't read disks now. It has WD1772 controller chip.
Second one is modified with TOMS Turbo, capable working with Turbo 1050 mode. It has WD2797A controller chip.
But this drive is not seen by ProSystem (3.0.6) or SIO2USB interface. Do not know which one is guilty. Red diode on interface PCB is dark.
And after I press Start button in ProSystem this red diode flashes and I got message:
Unsual error. [Could Not Open Serial Port]
APE/ProSystem are running on Windows XP on real PC or Windows 7 in VirtualBox virtual machine.
Whats wrong?
And another question is if it is possible to get ProSystem working in Synchromesh or Turbo 1050 mode - another checkbox for this/these modes in interface
?
Because of course it will be nice to have disk(s) copied much faster in High Speed.
