Ok, so this is strange. The other night I decided to pull out the Syncalc and Synfile programs.
Loaded em up and found that I couldn't type. Well, I could type, but every keystroke sent like 15 chars at a time. That was with Syncalc. Then I loaded up Synfile and it did the same thing. So I was like, these programs have a problem.
But then I decided to try it without the MyIDE module installed, and yep, both programs acted normal. Put the MyIDE back in, and they wacked out again with the keyboard.
This is with the internal MyIDE 4.4I.

Thoughts? :)

No idea, 4.4 is an old beta-version, haven't got a clue how I re-programmed key-input anymore.....

Update to 4.6?
;-)

Thanks! I've been away from the Atari for a while and didn't even know we're at 4.6 now! I'll do just that. :)

Not having any luck with this. Basically what I'm trying is, I mirror the dir that contains MyBIOS46i.xex and when I run it from the menu, it just says "No Flash OS Detected".
Yes, I did put the jumper on first. Sound like I'm doing something wrong?

Hmmm, not sure yet, I need some more time (sorry).
Your request comes during a update to 4.7 and I don't have
the 4.6 files in my head as well anymore......
Strange is that before I uploaded the last 4.6 version I flashed my
internal kit succesfully.....

That sounds great, I'll just wait until 4.7.

Thank you!

Hmmm, release of 4.7-beta is moved since I haven't fixed the 850-bug yet.....
Been on it yesterday all day :-(

Here is the 4.6.11-i flasher from my archive.
Tested and works (internal atarimax MyIDE-kit).
With the jumper on it says:
"No Flash OS Detected" (that is correct).
press y
Warning, press y
remove jumper
press START.

Thanks, that seemed to have worked well!
Tell me, is the default now to boot with basic on? Mine always boots to basic. Also, how do I boot without the MyIDE, like if I want to boot to d1: from ape instead of the hd?

Thanks man!!

I also noticed that Bobterm no longer works when you run it from the HD. As a test, I flashed back to 44i and Bobterm worked.
Also, in the MYIDE MENU, the M option doesn't do anything. All the other options work, but when you select [M]ake, it doesn't do nothing. I have 2 partitions on there already and I was trying to make a 3rd. The existing ones were created with 4.4I.

Oh, and btw, the keyboard weirdness I posted about with Syncalc and Synfile seems to be gone now too! Nice! :)

Thanks man!!

Hi Al,

If there is no room left, the M does not work, there is no message "disk full".
I have to check bobterm, can you zip and email me?
So I can have a look at it were the codes does not match anymore.

Default should be basic off, but it's possible that you encountered a bug.

Hold SHIFT at powerup to enter the cartridge-menu.
Hold SHIFT again while making your selection, this boots into the standaars OS.
But it's easier to disable the partition, hold S+S+O at powerup and disable the partition, save&exit.
You can use the HELP-key on the fly if you like.
Tapping SHIFT+CONTROL+D at bootup doesn't work anymore, since this will get you to the cartridge menu.
Tapping HELP will work though.

If you want I can PM you a 4.7 for beta-testing?

Later,
Sijmen.

Hi Sijmen,
Wll, as far as the partitions go, the drive (a cf 256mb) only has only 2 partitions on it, both 16mb, so I don't know why it would think that there is no room. I tried re-init and makeing new drives, but I can only make 2. I can make them what I want, like drive 5 and drive 8 for example, but I can't make a 3rd.

As for bobterm, sure, I'll send you a copy of it. The only way I can get that to boot is to put the rescue jumper on, or just remove the MyIDE module all together. I'm wondering if maybe it's a SpartaDOS thing? I'm using 3.3a. Maybe I should try using Bobterm with MyDOS?

Sure, please send me the 4.7 beta. I'd love to test it out!

Thanx!
-Al

Hi All,

Thanks for the PM, Not sure what disk does what. You perhaps need to be more
specific. The bobterm.atr does not boot anyway (computer locks-up), the ATASCII
terminal-disk does (and then cycles forever on SIO)

Ok, I think the bug seems to be the same as the one with the 850-interface.
The driver can't be downloaded from the device....
I found the problem with the 850 yesterday -late- and fixed the loader.
Problem is that the 850 alone waits 32x status to D1: to kick-in.
And there may not be any other communication on the SIO (MyBIOS does other first) or the 850 won't respond.

Later,
Sijmen.

Ah yes, I remember now. There was one Bobterm atr that would never boot. I guess it's the bobterm.atr one. But the other 2 boot fine. :)

Thanks for looking at this stuff!!
